It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Edward “Eddie” Lewis Knight, Jr., aged 68, on January 17, 2025, at his home in Arab, Alabama. Eddie was born on September 24, 1956, in La Grange, GA. and was a beloved husband, Father and grandfather.
Eddie is survived by his mother, Sara Knight, his wife, Susan Knight, sons Robert Knight (Sheena), Davy Knight (Heather), Edward Knight III (Cassie). Grandchildren, Ward, Ashton, Addison, Hayden & Logan. Sisters, Melanie Cornelson (Jerry), Janet Johnson (Mike). Brother, Timmy Knight (Sharon). And numerous nieces and nephews. Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lewis Knight, Sr.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 12:00pm - 1:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral service following at 1:00pm from the chapel. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers
Eddie’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love and kindness will live on in our hearts.
