Distracted Driver Victim Speaks to Students at Local Schools

Franklin County Coordinated School Health invited David Francisco to speak to students at Franklin County High School and Huntland High School.
Francisco was a contestant on American Idol who was struck by a distracted driver while on his bicycle. Before becoming a contestant, he moved to Nashville to pursue his music career, and while riding his bike to the studio, a girl ran a red light while texting. Francisco was paralyzed from the waist down and is still recovering and speaking to students about the dangers of distracted driving.
