Bridgestone Plant to Close in Lavergne; Warren County Location to Remain Open

Rutherford County Mayor Joe Carr has confirmed to the media that the Bridgestone Tire Plant in Lavergne will close on July 31. 700 employees will be laid off.
The company cited economic reasons for the closing.
Closer to our area, the Bridgestone Plant in Warren County, TN will continue operations.
The plant in Lavergne has been in operation since 1972.
